Employment Services
On Track's Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) provides a specialist psychiatric supported employment service for up to 40 people with a mental illness across the Tweed, Coffs Harbour and Lismore areas. The aim of the program is to establish work opportunities for our employees within grounds maintenance, property maintenance, recycling and retail sales for individuals.
Australian Disability Enterprises are commercial enterprises enabling people with a disability to be involved in a wide range of tasks such as packaging, assembly production, recycling, plant nursery, garden maintenance and landscaping, as well as cleaning, laundry and food services. Employees of Australian Disability Enterprises enjoy the same working conditions as those in the general workforce.
Some people with a disability may however have difficulty in maintaining the level of productivity and work habits required for these awards, so a system of productivity based on pro-rata payments is used by the Australian Disability Enterprises to match a person's productivity with a fair wage.
The Australian Disability Enterprise is funded through the Department of Families Housing Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).
