Open Employment

On Track's open employment program known as the Disability Employment Service (DES) provides ongoing support to people with disabilities across the Tweed area to find and maintain work in the open employment market. DES employment consultants can provide a range of support to individuals through training, job placement and on-the-job support.

A job seeker can be referred to DES if they have a permanent (or likely to be permanent) disability and have a reduced capacity for communication, learning or mobility and require support for more than six months after placement in employment.

The DES Program is funded through the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
